Trikeri island is situated just off the very end of the Pelion peninsular,
a fantastic place to unwind and rejuvenate.

The villa is idyllically placed approx 120 paces from the waters edge. Peaceful, friendly, and traffic free; the small Greek island of Trikeri, is certainly the place to unwind.  If you enjoy the simple pleasures of life, such as; swimming, walking, good food, relaxation and soaking up the sun; this perfectly located villa on Trikeri is the place for you to relax.

It's a ten minute walk from the main village.  Life on Trikeri Island is simpler and slower than on the mainland with just one shop and two Tavernas.

Even in the height of summer the pace of life here is mellow.

Getting to Trikeri

We have compiled the following travel tips to help you plan your travel to the island.

From the UK

The nearest airport to Trickeri is Nea Aghalos which is just outside Volos.

A limited number of flights are available from May to October.  Flights are from Gatwick by Small Planet.

Flights to Athens and Thessaloniki are available all year round from London, Manchester, Luton, Birmingham, Liverpool etc.  These flights are operated by Easy Jet, Thompsons and jet 2.

From the rest of Europe

There are 3 direct flights to Volos from Germany, Belgium, Switzerland etc.

From the rest of Europe

Car Hire is obviously avilable at all of the airports Volos, Athens and Thessaloniki.

Once in Greece.

We would strongly recommend car hire because not only will it allow you to explore the whole of the beautiful Pelion Peninsular,  But it also gives you independence in the event of adverse weather.

The drive from Athens to Volos is 300km (200 miles).

The drive from Thessaloniki to Volos is 300km (200miles).

There is a good national bus service from Athens to Thessaloniki via Volos which runs about every hour.

The train service to Volos is also good.

From Volos to the island of Trickeri.

The Quickest way from Volos airport to the island is to take a taxi to the nearby port of Amaliapolis and then a pre arranged boat taxi from the island will collect you.  Cost approx. 120 Euros. per party.

his is at the mercy of the weather and would be replaced by a road taxi at a similar price in stormy conditions.

If you have driven to Volos it makes more sense to continue in your car around the inside of the Pelion Peninsular down to the closest point to Trickeri island.

This spectacular drive will take you Agria, Kala Nero, Arglasti, Millina and to the outskirts of a village also called Trickeri where you will turn right after the school and down to a place (not even a village) called Alogoporos.

Here there's 3 houses, a taverna and most importantly a jetty where the boat taxi will collect you.

The boat taxi is called for on demand at any time of day or night (more or less) and costs 5-10 euros per party depending on where you are dropped off on the island.
